The Tory Burch store wasn’t just busy when I walked by over the holidays…It was mobbed. The brand has only been around for just over 10 years, but something must be hitting the mark for consumers. I think it is the appeal of Tory herself. I admire her as an entrepreneur and for her style appeal. Her packed store told the story: Her company has exploded to over 141 freestanding stores in 50 countries. (Fast Company, September 2014)
And it’s not just about sales. The Tory Burch Foundation helps entrepreneurial women with loans, education and mentoring. Tory Burch partnered with the Bank of America to create the Elizabeth Street Capital as a way to help generate the backing for these loans. This 6-minute interview by CBS This Morning on the foundation website is worth a watch.
Products on the Tory Burch website marked with the yellow flower symbol support the Foundation. I like the leather wrap bracelet — especially in white — for the summer. I hope to see even more products supporting the Foundation online and in her stores. I now admire Tory Burch even more, and will wear my Tory Burch tunic with a newfound sense of pride.
